Below you’ll find all the information on how to get to our wedding location and where to stay.
Getting here:
Our wedding will take place at Monverde located in the Vinho Verde region, in Amarante.
The nearest airport is Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO), approximately 50 minutes from the venue. From the airport you can rent a car, or use an Uber or taxi service.
Train: For guests travelling from Porto or nearby cities, the closest train station is Caide de Rei, approximately 20 minutes from the venue.
Hotel: We have reserved all of the rooms at Monverde Hotel for our guests from Friday, 25th July - Sunday, 27th July. All bookings will be made through our wedding planner, so please do not contact the hotel directly. Rooms will be allocated to ensure that all guests have a great experience. Specific room requests cannot be accommodated.
We will be in contact in the coming weeks regarding room allocations and final costs. Payment will need to be made by 1st February, 2025.
Gift Registry:
Having you at our wedding is the best gift we could ask for, but if you would like to help us make the most of our honeymoon to Japan we have set up a little registry.

FAQs
Should I book my room directly with the hotel? All hotel bookings will be made through our wedding planner, so please do not contact the hotel directly. Rooms will be allocated to ensure that all guests have a great experience. Specific room requests cannot be accommodated.How much is the hotel? The cost of the hotel is €430 per person, including breakfast, based on two people sharing a room.Is the cost per room or per person? The cost is per person, based on a minimum of two people sharing a room. There are a limited number of rooms that can accommodate three people, and this will be reflected in the cost. For example, if three guests are sharing a room, the cost will be reduced to €286 per person.Can I choose who I stay with? Room assignments will be made by us, and we will prioritise placing guests with their partners, family, and friendship groups. If you have a specific preference for who you’d like to stay with, please share this information with us.When do I have to pay? We will be in contact in the coming weeks regarding room arrangements and final costs. Payment will need to be bank transferred by 1st February 2025. If you are also attending the BBQ (€55 per person), please ensure this is added to your total cost. Please note that payment is non-refundable.Payment details are as follows:

If you are staying at Monverde, a 3-night stay is required from Friday, 25th July to Sunday, 27th July. Guests are expected to make their own travel arrangements and can book flights at their convenience. Feel free to wear swimwear and/or cover-ups - whatever makes you comfortable.Are there any colours I should avoid? On the wedding day, please avoid wearing yellow and all-white outfits.Do I need to purchase food or drinks to bring onsite, or is this provided through the kitchen/catering (e.g., breakfast)? You are free to bring food on-site, or you can purchase food from the hotel restaurant. As part of the wedding function, the following will be provided:- Breakfast

Can guests change their dietary requirements on the day? Ahead of the wedding, we will request your dietary requirements. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate changes on the day.Does the venue accept card payments or cash only? Yes, the venue accepts card payments.Are you accepting wedding gifts/donations for your honeymoon? Yes, we plan to provide a wedding gift registry with the option to contribute to our honeymoon.What should I do if I can’t attend? If you’re unable to attend, please contact us directly.
